This is the second to last of Hank Reinhardt's swords. I replaced the hilt and guard on a Mongolian-inspired saber that was originally an MRL item. Blade is carbon steel, about 5/16" at the spine. 28" blade, 34" OAL. Grip is quilted maple, dyed to match. There is minor damage to the scabbard and a few faint pits on the blade. It functions perfectly.
Tang is 1/2" X 5/16" tapering down to the ferrule at the rear.
We will accept bids until 21 June, 2018, after which, you will have 30 days to pay by MO or check.
Current bid is $500.

The M7A1 was the Training Practice round for the M1, M1A1 and M9 rocket launchers. This training round is expended, with no propellant or explosive. The nose is weighted to simulate the M6A1 HEAT shaped charge.
The fins are intact, unbent, and the tail section is removable. The nose is properly marked as shown, with no significant dents. The safety wire is present. There is a solder spot on one fin where the igniter wire was.
The rocket is clean overall, with some chipped paint and exposed metal.

Historical powder flasks. These appear to date from the early 19th century, one in pewter, one in leather. They have usual wear for age. The pewter one lacks a lever on the fill tube, and the leather one is missing the tube entirely. The leather one may be a shot pouch rather than a powder flask.
The leather is embossed from the inside on both sides, with a what looks like a rabbit, pheasant and deer motif. The pewter is repoussed with a leaping hound and a pheasant.
As found, a nice addition to a collection of accoutrements.

This bayonet is marked on the left by Gebr. Hartkopf, Solingen, the maker, and on the right by C Dietrich, Altenburg, the retailer. It may be private purchase rather than issue.
The blade is clean and unsharpened with no pitting, but has some age wear, and frosting, more toward the hilt. There is a single significant rust spot that may clean off.
The latch works. The hilt has dings and chips to the wood, typical for age. The pommel is oxidized but not pitted, and appears to have an imperial mark above the latch. The guard has some oxidation but retains much of its polish.
The scabbard is undented, retains what appears to be some of the original paint over a factory finish, with minimal scratching and wear. The throat is tight.
The attached tag is from a former owner, who had it in on display in the Fort Harrison Museum for several years.

This is a very good condition magazine for the M-13.
The body is clean overall with some aging around the catches.
The follower is clean and shiny, aligns correctly, and the spring is strong. I do not have the gun, but a test by hand suggests it is fully functional.
Returnable if it fails to function, only.

The blade is unsharpened, but does have some light surface patina, frosting and staining. The cartouches are deep and visible.
The hilt metal is likewise oxidized but sound. The scales are clean with some chips. The latch works properly. The pommel is dark on the underside. The guard is clean overall with some scuffing on the outside. The cartouches and numbers are deep and cleanly stamped.
The scabbard is complete and undented. The original paint is present but well-worn. The throat has a bit of roughness that does not affect function.
The frog is very supple and clearly marked. The rivets and stitching are all present. Some of the stitching is frayed. Draw is tight but full.
A nice example of a rare specimen.

I believe this to be Indonesian. It dates from late to post WWII.
16-3/8" blade, 21-3/8" OAL. Blade is billet steel, tapering from 1/4" thick at the hilt, 2" wide. Chisel beveled on left side. Well patinated but no deep pits. Some recent surface corrosion (appears brown). The tip shows signs of resharpening.
Hilt is 5", buffalo horn with an iron collar. The horn has some cracks and delaminations typical for age. Collar is brazed.
Scabbard is two lames of dark wood. The tip cover is interlock-fastened tortoise shell held in place with nailed brass bands, with a small amount of dot repousse on the tip band. The shell is worn but with no significant cracks. The throat cover is interlock-fastened leather secured with a nailed brass band top, and a nailed brass band bottom, where part of the wrap becomes a belt or sash frog. The throat band is in rough shape, battered and with missing nails. The exposed wood between the wraps has a worn opening that exposes the blade on draw. There are some longitudinal cracks under the throat wrap.
The blade draws easily with a little tightness toward the swell.

This is a L6FK-3-52 propeller, 72" tip to tip, made for a Globe Swift GC1B aircraft with a Continental C-125 engine. It is marked accordingly as shown in the photos.
There are a couple of dings and delaminations, so I can't say how functional it is, and of course, it would have to be FAA inspected for airworthiness.
The hub in the center bears the logo of Continental engines.
Sold as is, as a great centerpiece for an aircraft memorabilia collection or home decoration. If you are able to make it work for a hovercraft or other project, by all means do so.
Weight is 18 lbs. However, local pickup is available in the Indianapolis area, for free.

Middle Eastern kufi men's cap. Approx 6.5" diameter. Vintage. Inside brim has display tag, likely from a museum. The box it came in, with other items, has a newspaper clipping from 1950, which may help date it.
Textile is still supple, the embroidery is remarkably intact. A nice piece for your collection, or can be worn for special events. Will fit a smaller head or adolescent boy.

I am not sure of the culture, but age is likely about 1930. There is some damage due to dry breakage as shown.
Size: 13" high X 12" wide X 8" deep
Appears well fabricated overall.
Any documented information is welcome.

This is a basket, culture unknown to me, likely from about 1920 based on age and wear. It is intact but brittle with little flex left.
Diameter is 6", height just under 2". It has been suggested that it was probably made by a northeastern tribe, of ash and sweetgrass. Some damage to the edge braiding.

Dovehead saber, early 20th Century, private purchase for German military. Marked ALCOSO, Solingen. Blade is clean with dried grease, hilt in good condition with some expected aging. Scabbard had light dents in three places that don't affect draw.
A very nice, well-balanced saber that will complement a variety of early to mid 20th century ensembles.

A pair of Turkish style jambiya. Included is the accession card from their display in the Indiana State Museum.
It is very unlikely that either story on the card is factual. Fanciful tails get assigned to lots of foreign objects, and nothing about these pieces suggests they were made for heavy use. However, the card is part of their history and comes with them.
The brass and leather (appears to be goatskin) both show expected wear for age. The blades are in good condition, but I can't attest to their temper.
Interesting collectibles, probably made as collectibles, over a century ago.

From the estate collection of Professor Henry Karlson, IUPUI law professor and advisor to the Indiana Supreme Court.
Just predating the Russo-Japanese War.
The first line of text reads Tokyou Hou-hei Kousho (Tokyo Army/Navy Armory)
The second reads Meiji 36 (1903).
The third means "Manufactured in".
This piece is in excellent shape, with very little patina on the unsharpened blade. The handle scales are original and intact, but slightly loose. Arsenal paint on the fittings is largely complete, with some scuffing. Scabbard throat is slightly loose vertically. Scabbard fits well. The tip is missing the retention staple, but is affixed with contact cement. Stitching is intact. Leather collar is complete and supple. Further photos available on request.
